Le Grand Hôtel Cayré, Paris

Project Overview

Bespoke Bar and Wine Storage Installation

Located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Le Grand Hôtel Cayré marks the Paris flagship for Miiro Hotels, a design led European lifestyle brand launched by InterGlobe Enterprises. As Miiro’s debut property, the hotel embodies a philosophy of immersive, locally inspired hospitality, blending Parisian heritage with a contemporary, design focused aesthetic.

Sorrells was commissioned to create a bespoke L shaped bar and integrated wine storage solution that would support the hotel’s dynamic offering. Coffee by day, cocktails and wine by night. The bar needed to function seamlessly across service styles while remaining visually aligned with the hotel’s refined interior concept. Crafted in Oak with a rich dark stain, the bar introduces warmth and depth to the space, while brass rod detailing provides a subtle nod to classic Parisian brasserie design. The result is a statement bar that feels both contemporary and rooted in its surroundings, complementing the character of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Behind the bar, custom wine fridges were designed and manufactured in house by Sorrells. These bespoke refrigeration units incorporate metal rod racking to support ready to serve bottles in an elegant, efficient configuration. The racking allows for clear visibility of labels while maintaining optimal storage conditions for hospitality service.

At Le Grand Hôtel Cayré, wine storage and interior design work in harmony. The project reflects Sorrells’ expertise in delivering bespoke wine storage solutions for luxury hospitality environments in Paris and across Europe, where design integrity and technical precision must coexist.

The bar and back bar configuration accommodates approximately 328 bottles across the custom wine fridges and display shelving. As this is a fully operational hospitality environment, maximising capacity was not the primary objective. Instead, the layout was designed to prioritise efficient service and immediate access to a curated, ready to drink collection, ensuring performance supports the guest experience at every stage of the day.

The design is defined by its material richness and refined detailing, with dark stained Oak and brass accents establishing a distinctly Parisian character. Central to the concept are the custom made wine fridges, engineered in house to provide a fully temperature controlled environment without the visual interruption of a traditional wine cabinet. Integrated seamlessly into the back bar, they preserve clean architectural lines while ensuring optimal conditions for ready to serve wines.
