Black Walnut arched wine wall

Due to the shallow depth of the wine wall, the majority of the storage elements were confined to the back wall. Upon closer look, the viewer will see additional shelving on each side of the walls, maximising the capacity of the area where possible.

A project showcasing a striking black walnut wine wall that is as unique as the space it inhabits. Designed specifically to fit the contours of an arched alcove, the wine wall features custom joinery that seamlessly integrates with the existing architecture. The feature framework not only enhances the alcove’s arch but also elevates the entire room, turning it into a functional work of art.

The double doors sit central to the wine wall with bottles gracefully displayed on acrylic rods flanking either side. This design choice is deliberate, maximising storage capacity while preserving the view through the arch. Step inside, and you’re greeted by a central panel of meticulously arranged racking. Here, lit angled displays draw the eye to the centre, creating a dynamic focal point. Complementing this are scallop racks on either side, offering the perfect stage for showcasing bottles with their labels facing outward.

The strategic placement of lighting elements adds the finishing touch, illuminating the bottles and the craftsmanship alike. This well-thought-out lighting not only highlights the wine but also contributes to the overall ambiance, making the wine wall a standout feature of the room.

Each of our wine cellars is unique, and this black walnut wine wall in Buckinghamshire is no exception. From the customised joinery to the strategic use of lighting and display elements, every detail has been carefully considered to create not just a storage solution, but a statement piece that complements and enhances its surroundings.
