Transforming Wine Storage with Modern Wine Cellars

This stunning creation epitomises the concept of modern wine cellars, seamlessly merging the beauty of design with the functionality of storage.

A Harmonious Blend: The Fusion of Modern and Classic

Nestled within the charming landscapes of Buckinghamshire, this estate harmoniously marries the classic allure of old-world aesthetics with the sleek sophistication of modern design. The property’s recent renovation introduced a cozy cottage feel, expertly interwoven with contemporary elements. At the heart of this estate lies a captivating wine room, a true embodiment of modern wine cellars seamlessly integrated into the property’s design.

The Vision Unveiled: Crafting Exquisite Modern Wine Cellars

Crafting an ambiance that marries elegance and functionality was the client’s vision. Two wine walls, flanking the interior metal framed doors, were to serve as the entrance to a world of fine wines. Our design, carefully incorporating touches of black to harmonise with the existing interiors, brought this vision to life. The result? Two meticulously designed modern wine cellars, each illuminated to perfection, showcasing the client’s prized collection.

A Fusion of Form and Function: Showcasing Over 500 Bottles

Fashioned from the finest White American Oak, these wine walls are not mere storage solutions; they are true statements of elegance. One wall, strategically larger due to its proximity to the doors, accommodates a larger number of bottles. Together, these dual modern wine cellars house an impressive collection of over 500 bottles, transforming wine storage into a captivating display.

Innovative Storage: A Glimpse Beyond Convention

Maximising space was key, and our solution was as innovative as it was functional. Acrylic rods grace each “end” of the walls, adding both a contemporary touch and extra storage options. For wines stored in boxes, soft-close drawers were a necessity, reflecting a modern approach to convenience. On the opposite wall, bottle drawers boast custom-cut wooden bases that cradle each bottle securely, mitigating any risk of rolling.

Setting the Scene: Dynamic Illumination for Modern Wine Cellars

Lighting transcends the ordinary in these modern wine cellars. Dimmable and adaptable, the lighting sets the mood as you would in any living space. From vibrant gatherings to serene evenings, your wine collection takes centre stage, illuminated perfectly in these modern wine cellars.

The Finishing Flourish: Chic Matte Black Framework and Full Glass Doors

Attention to detail is the hallmark of these modern wine cellars. The selection of matte black framework adds a touch of drama, accentuating the room’s sophistication. Full glass doors, extending from floor to ceiling, beckon you to explore the treasures within, embodying an unobstructed view that defines modern wine cellars.

Passion on Display: Redefining Wine Storage

Diverging from the norm, this project eschews temperature control units, focusing on being a display space for readily accessible bottles. This unique twist allowed for seamless floor-to-ceiling glass pane doors without borders, elevating the visual appeal of these modern wine cellars.

Situated in Buckinghamshire, Sorrells Custom Wine Room exemplifies the art of crafting modern wine cellars, where design and storage converge seamlessly. This project stands testament to the notion that your wine collection merits not just storage, but a captivating exhibit that captures the essence of modern luxury.
