Bespoke Wine Cellars UK: A Case Study at Love Wine, Jersey
The Challenge
Love Wine, a renowned wine merchants in Jersey, Channel Islands, had a unique vision. They sought a large wine cellar that could function both as a storage facility and a space for wine tastings. Enter Sorrells Custom Wine Rooms, with decades of experience in crafting bespoke wine cellars in the UK.
The Design
We conceptualised a wine room where wall expanses were turned into multi-style racking systems, complete with drawers for cases of wine. Angled shelving showcased wine labels for easy customer purchasing. Importantly, the room was sectioned to highlight different wine regions, aligning with the rest of the wine shop’s layout.
Special Features
Enomatic Machines
To elevate the tasting experience, we integrated Enomatic machines with hanging stemware above. These machines allow customers to sample wines while preserving the bottle’s contents—an invaluable asset for driving sales. The Enomatic machines were sourced with help from our sister company, Tanglewood Premium Wine Accessories.
Tasting Tables
For a more intimate tasting session, dedicated tasting tables were incorporated into the design. The tables offer a social space for customers to stand and try the sample wines.
The Result
Our bespoke wine cellar now holds over a thousand bottles, stored immaculately within Redwood racking. The project harmoniously marries function and aesthetic, offering a comprehensive wine shopping experience unlike any other.
