Under Stairs Wine Storage at Galvin La Chapelle

Tailored Excellence Meets Michelin Standards

When it comes to pairing the perfect wine with a Michelin-star meal, Galvin La Chapelle doesn’t leave room for compromise. With a wine list that adheres to the highest standards, the need for a storage solution to match was non-negotiable. We at Sorrells Custom Wine Rooms were given the task to rise to this challenge, focusing on under stairs wine storage as part of our three-fold wine storage project at the restaurant.

Aesthetic Fusion: Tradition Meets Modernity

Located within a rejuvenated chapel, La Chapelle exudes a blend of historical grandeur and modern sophistication. Our design for the under stairs wine storage mirrors this, making use of solid oak with a dark oak stain to resonate with the chapel’s traditional feel. Accents of traditional style ironmongery are tastefully incorporated, while contemporary elements such as glass and acrylic are added to align with the modern nuances of the staircase the wine storage resides beneath.

The result is an under stairs wine storage solution that not only meets but also exceeds the standards one would expect from a Michelin-starred establishment like Galvin La Chapelle.

This project was part of a larger wine storage solution being solved by Sorrells. In addition, a grand Sorrells wine wall sits within the enterance of the restaurant’s lobby. The third and final element were three, temperature controlled arched wine walls between La Chapelle and Bistro.
