Project Information

The Dog and Pickle is a fantastic pub location for one of our wine cellars. The relaxed pub offers a superb wine list to guests and wanted to show off the bottles prior to purchase.

A great use of space, this 204 bottle wine cellar is an excellent edition to the dining room at The Dog & Pickle in Ongar, Essex. The compact cellar shows off the pubs wine list to their customers whilst also providing some much needed storage.

The design of the cellar, made from solid Oak has utilised the corner, maximising storage with standard racking and acrylic rods within the frame. The solid Oak wine racking and frame work has been finished with a ‘Dark Oak’ stain to match the beams within the pub. To finish, lighting has been integrated within the woodwork for a flush finish.

For optimal storage, the cellar has been fitted with a temperature control system. By offering a stable temperature, bottles can be stored at the correct temperature for long term keep.

In addition to the cellar, Sorrells helped source and fit a ‘meat store and display’ for the pub. The fridge provides both a display space, as well as temperature controlled area for their cuts to hang.
