From the initial point of enquiry through to installation, we work closely with our clients to design and manufacture a storage for wine. We work closely with both private, residential clients as well as commercial companies and property developers to deliver a prestige wine storage product. The collaborative process begins with a conversation to gauge the style, needs and initial ideas of the client. Each design is built using with Computer Aided Design software. CAD is both visually impressive and accurate, a useful tool for our logistics and the client’s vision.
The factory builds all wine cellars from the 30,000ft space. From the factory, every element of the wine cellar is shipped out, whether it be to projects in central London or our overseas clients.
At Sorrells, all racking and framework is made in our Essex based factory. Being able to manufacture in house is a statement that we are immensely proud of. The majority of the factory is dedicated to joinery and the creation of our wine racks and wooden framework. The latest addition to Sorrells manufacturing is metal work, thanks to a newly developed department. Being able to offer clients the option of metal doors or framework for their wine cellar is a great addition. Each element of metal work is cut and finished in house to the same exacting standard as our woodwork.
The installation process is the final stage before the first bottle can be stored. This end task brings the project together for our clients and is one that should be meticulous and polished. 4 to 5 projects a week leave our factory to be fitted, varying from wine walls, to vast underground wine cellars. The location of the end destination is a constant variable. Travelling internationally is commonplace for the installation team, therefor the understanding of preparation is key.
